Judith Geiger "Honolua Dream"

This image was brewing in my mind for quite a long time before I finally made it in glass. When it was finished, someone asked me if it was a self portrait and I realized that was exactly what it was.

size: glass panel 17” x 19”
set in wood frame 25” x 27”
medium: kilnformed Bullseye glass

When I look at this piece it transports me to a tropical paradise, and I think you must have been in a great place in your mind when you created it. The colors and composition are so bright and clear, it just makes me want to jump into the picture. Thank you for sharing this.

your portrait works for me on many levels. I like it. Maybe it's the clouds and birds?

Judith, I love your use of personal imagery & how detailed each part of your portrait is. I'm always drawn to color & really like how you've used it.

Judith,

Nicely done. I like how we put ourselves in our work, even when not planning on it.

The simplification of details adds charm to this piece.
